Tagore International School Celebrates Green Diwali

Sahnewal (Ludhiana), November 13, 2015: Keeping in mind the depleting environment, Tagore International Senior Secondary School, Kohara Road, Sahnewal celebrated Green Diwali in their premises. During this function, the school was cleaned by the students and all students even made rangoli in front of their classes. Instead of spending money on crackers, the students spent this money on giving financial assistance to needy in the form of clothes, shoes and toys etc.

     While addressing the students, school principal Mrs Harvinder Kaur said that all festivals are celebrated in the school keeping in mind environment and safety of students. She said that people should celebrate Diwali with religious fervour and should always keep saving our environment in mind. A large number of students and school pledged to celebrate Green Diwali in future.
