Table marking for Xth and XIIth Board Examinations: Dr Cheema

Chandigarh, March 9, 2015: Punjab Education Minister Dr.Daljit Singh Cheema announced table marking for the checking in Xth and XIIth board Examinations. In this new initiative, the total answer sheets of both classes 7,25,094 candidates will be evaluated in more accountable manner. This initiative will ensure more transparency in the assessment of the examinations.

Dr. Cheema further informed that this project is going to introduce for the first time. This system will enhance the performance of the existing system and the results will be declared within adequate time frame. Moreover, this will reduce the number of grievances and thus the improvement in the system will get a further fillip.

The minister said that table marking will be done at district level checking centres and more than one examiner will be there to evaluate the each and every answer sheet. This decision is taken to strengthen the existing education system by providing fair and efficient marking scheme.
