In the survey of 'The Knowledge Review' magazine, DAV got the third position in the country's top 10 Economics Study institutes

Jalandhar, January 19, 2019: In a survey conducted by 'The Knowledge Review' magazine in 2018 for the best institutions of Economics Studies, DAV College, Jalandhar got third position in the Best Economics Study. In this survey, the colleges were selected which are giving their students excellent education in the field of Economics and are preparing them for contribution to the economic development of the country. The Knowledge Review is an international education magazine for universities, students, teachers and parents who present news, blogs, articles and courses from the best universities. While working as a platform, The Knowledge Review gives a broad perspective of the vast education sector from the perspective of a student, teacher and university. Being one of the top international education and knowledge provider magazines, "Knowledge Review" is a forum for knowledge, which is specially designed to serve as a link between students, teachers and universities. This survey certifies it. In the past 100 years, DAV has given so many great personalities to this country. Presently, Mr. P.K. Gupta, Managing Director, SBI, the country's largest bank, contributing to the economic development of the country, has also been an alumnus of this college. Apart from this, DAV College, Jalandhar got the highest number of 3.76 CGPA in the Co-educational colleges across the country by NAAC. College also got the title of "College with Potential for Excellence" by UGC New Delhi which is a proof of higher education quality of college. On this occasion, he gave his best wishes to the Economics Department and all the colleges. Vice Principal Prof V.K. Sareen while expressing his heartfelt gratitude, gave his best wishes to all during this time. He said that the Economics Department is truly proud of being the third place in the country. This college not only insists on higher education but also strives for its development. Head of Economics Department Dr. S. K. Khurana said that this is a very happy and glorious moment. The overall development of students has been the main objective of the Department of Economics, which is done through classroom education and other activities organized by two very active and progressive societies - Kautilya Economics Society and Ambedkar Yojana Forum. These institutions offer extension lectures, group discussions, education related trips and culture programs every year. Students are encouraged for employment and contribute to the banking insurance sector as well as those who contribute to our Indian Economics service.
