CT University introduces Aryana Bakery for practical exposure of students

Ludhiana, April 8, 2019: For the practical exposure of Hotel Management students, CT University has introduced Aryana Bakery in which students will showcase their baking skills. This is also open for general public and visitors.

It was inaugurated by Chancellor Charanjit Singh Channi, Managing Director Manbir Singh, Vice Chairman Harpreet Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti and other officials of the University.

Elaborating about the Aryana Bakery, Dr Amit, Head of School of Hotel Management, Airlines and Tourism, said “We intend that students must possess the practical touch of knowledge, and make them industry ready. Aryana Bakery is not just a learning hub but available for public use as well. The stuff here is freshly prepared by students and available on pre orders. We have lesser rates than normal market rate.”

Students will prepare a number of items like Hot and Cold coffee, Tea, Mocktails, Sandwich, Puffs, Brownie, Desserts, Pastries, light snacks, puddings, cup cakes, muffins and variety of cakes. These items will be prepared on regular basis as well as on special orders also. The bakery is having a décor of the cafeteria which is a real life based exposure for students.

Manbir Singh, Managing Director said, “This effort has been extended to support the idea of entrepreneurship development among the students, as the bakery will be managed by students of hotel management with the support of faculty.”
