Sukhbir declares establishment of New Focal Point in 300 acres at village Dhananshu in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana, July 12, 2016: Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana delegation led by Sardar Sharnajit Singh Dhillon, Minister of Irrigation, Punjab, Sh.Avtar Singh, President & Sh.Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary CICU called on Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal, Dy.Chief Minister, Punjab; today and submitted Memorandum for resolving Industrial issues.
This meeting was attended Sh.Anirudh Tiwari, Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce and Sh.Amit Dhaka, Managing Director Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation Ltd.
Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal formally declared that establishment of New Focal Point in 300 acres at village Dhananshu Ludhiana, for which requisite payment has been made to the Panchyat. Sh. Amit Dhaka informed that infrastructure development of New Focal Point will start immediately and allotment process of industrial plots will commence in September/October 2016.
Sh. Avtar Singh, President and Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary CICU requested Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal for reservation of 50 acres of land for setting up electroplating cluster and its common effluent treatment plant for shifting small scale units comprising zinc and electroplating units, which are operating in different locations in Ludhiana City. They also urged upon Sardar Badal for reservation of another 50 acres of land for setting up world class MSME cluster in New Focal Point. They said that this initiative taken by Sardar Sukhbir Singh Badal to rejuvenate Ludhiana Industry is highly commendable and is welcome step for growth and development of MSMEs. Establishment of New Focal Point in Dhananshu, Ludhiana after 1992 has brought cheer for further growth, development and expansion of local industry.
