Jalandhar, December 18, 2015: Mr.Sukanta De, an alumnus from IIT Kharagpur and IIM Kolkata visited Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus for academic audit of the institution. Dr.Rajesh Bagga, Director, Apeejay Institute of Management Technical Campus welcomed him.
Mr.Sukanta De interacted with the students and they shared the strengths of the institution like lucrative placement opportunities, academic accomplishments of the students with him. Mr.Sukanta exhorted the students to be focused and make their efforts with perseverance. Citing the examples of great leaders, he motivated them to be passionate about their goal and keep on making persistent efforts despite all odds.
This was followed by a presentation delivered by Ms. Kanika Chopra, Assistant Professor in Business Communication. It highlighted the academic laurels brought by the institution, the courses offered, the academic and research credentials of the faculty members, the conducive and interactive learning environment, the state-of-the-art infrastructure, innovative tools employed to facilitate learning like Moodle and Smart Boards. He was also told about the various cells and committees functioning in the institution like the Training & Placement Committee, EDC, The Literary & Dramatic Club, Students’ Counselling Committee etc.
The presentation was followed by site tour. Mr. De visited the library, the computer labs, the language lab, classrooms etc. He also evaluated the research reports of MBA and MCA students. Mr. De also enquired about the co-curricular activities and events organised by the institution like Pinnacle, Zenith and Spark etc. He also evaluated te publications of the institution.
Mr. Sukanta De was impressed with the endeavours made by the institution for the holistic development of students and said that these would make them competent professionals.
Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director of the institution briefed him about the faculty development initiatives made by the institute. Dr. Bagga then thanked Mr. Sukanta De and expressed that his valuable insights are going to be really beneficial for the institution.
