Jalandhar, March 14, 2015: On the first day of its 40th Anniversary celebrations on Friday, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar welcomed the learned delegates from Codarts University for the Arts, Rotterdam in a traditional way. From Codarts, Marianne Svašek (Faculty Member), Indr? Jurgelevi?i?t?, Clara Maria Gallardo Roman, Felipe Pires de Brito arrived in the college premises to participate in Apeejay Svran International Design and Performing Arts Week. They were delighted to see the enthusiasm of Apeejayites. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Sucharita shared her views that such collaborative efforts can prove to be a boon for the cultural exchange. Apeejay is the only institution of the region that provides such opportunities through which students can enhance their knowledge with leaps and bounds. 
The programme commenced with the performance of Satwinder Singh who mesmerized the audience with his art of playing Sarangi. Indre, the delegate from Holland sang a song describing the atmosphere of summer of Lithuania. Clara, who is a flute player, said she had always been inspired by the traditional rhythms of Indian music. Felipe, who is a student in Holland, was feeling excited to see the craze in Apeejayites for music and said he would like to spend a few years in India to polish his talent of Tabla playing. Dr. Vivek Verma, Assistant Professor, Department of Music gave a special performance and the first day was concluded with a spontaneous performance of Apeejay's students and delegates from Rotterdam presenting fusion of Indian Classical and Western Music. Marianne Svašek, the faculty member from Codarts, expressed her wonderment to see the zeal in her students after arriving at Apeejay and said through such visits they can harvest the vast fields of knowledge of Music and Arts.
