Students of CT Group of Institutions brighten up the festivities

Jalandhar, November 4, 2015: The students of CT Group of Institutions have taken up an initiative to brighten up the festivities with their handmade decorations.
During this time of the year, the students at CT Public School are busy making decorations. They have prepared diyas and lanterns which are not only beautiful but eco-friendly. The structures and beautifying of the decorations has been done by the students of the school while the lights have been designed by the engineering students at CT Group of Institutions.
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) exhorted the need to ditch the use of harmful lights, colors as well as crackers this Diwali which adds to the pollution. Instead, they advised to use handmade decorations to keep it simple and easy going both the environment and our health. He said, “These can avoid various kinds of pollution which causes many diseases like asthma, respiratory problems besides polluting nature and global warming.”
Students also prepared wax diyas and rangoli with waste materials to celebrate the occasion. They said that the decorative articles have been crafted to create awareness among people to save environment.
On this, S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) exhorted to sensitize the students and community about ways to celebrate safe, green and eco-friendly Diwali.
