Amritsar, October 5, 2015: In view of the UGC guidelines for Swachh Bharat Scheme, the class room cleanliness competition was organized in the Punjab School of Economics of the Guru Nanak Dev University in which all the students of various classes actively participated.
During the competition, the students of respective classes cleaned the walls, desks, white/black boards, switch boards, lecture stands and the surroundings and a number of trees were planted. The constituted Committee under the supervision/guidance of the Head of the Department visited all the classes and inspected the cleanliness parameters. After considering all the parameters, the Committee unanimously declared the winners of this competition viz. M.Sc. (H.S.) in Economics, Semester-III and B.Sc. (H.S.) in Economics, Semester-V. On this occasion, the trophy was jointly awarded to Class Representatives of both classes by Dr. Amarjit Singh Sidhu, Dean Students’ Welfare, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. / (SK Vyas, Jalandhar)
