STAFF SELECTION COMMISSION ADVERTISES 55000 POSTS IN CENTRAL ARMED POLICE FORCES & ASSAM RIFLES

Ludhiana, August 20, 2018: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has advertised approximately 55,000 posts of constables (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces, NIA and SSF and of Riflemen (GD) in Assam Rifles.

Deputy Commissioner Mr Pardeep Kumar Agrawal has urged all the eligible youth of the district to avail of this opportunity in large numbers.

The Deputy Commissioner informed that the closing date for online registration on http://ssconline.nic.in is September 17, 2018. He stated that for these posts, a computer bases examination would be conducted by the SSC in English and Hindi only. The Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test/Detailed Medical Examination/Review Medical Examination will be scheduled later.

Mr Agrawal informed that the detailed information regarding these 55000 advertised posts can be obtained from websites, www.ssc.nic.in and the information can also be obtained from www.ghargharrozgar.punjab.gov.in under the tab “Government Jobs”.

He further stated that the eligible youth, both boys and girls, who have passed their class tenth examination, are 23 year old as on August 1, 2018 (some relaxation from reserved categories) and fulfil the physical ability standards, should apply and work hard to clear the examination. He said that once the youth have applied for these posts, they should contact their nearest C-PYTE centre regarding the written examination. He informed that in Ludhiana district, the C-PYTE centre is located in the ITI premises on Gill Road, Ludhiana city.
