Chandigarh, April 19, 2018: The Director, Sports Department, Punjab, Mrs.Amrit Kaur Gill here today honoured the veteran players for bringing laurels to the state in the recently held Masters National Rowing Championship.
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman said that the championship was held at Chennai (Tamil Nadu) in which the veteran rowing players Mr.Tejinder Singh (Punjab Police), Captain Pappi Singh, Captain Rampal Singh and Captain Surinder Singh won the Gold Medal in Coxless-4 event while Mr.Devinder Singh (Punjab Police) and Captain Rampal Singh won Silver Medal in the Double Sculls event.
Honouring the players for their stupendous achievement, the Director Sports described them as the role models for the upcoming players.
