Specially-abled are integral part of society: MP Ravneet Singh Bittu
Distributes aid equipments among specially-abled persons worth Rs 24 lakh Ludhiana, March 6, 2019: Member of Parliament (MP) Mr Ravneet Singh Bittu on Wednesday said that specially-abled persons are an integral part of the society and Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh are committed for their welfare. He was speaking during a function organized in social security office of Dugri Canal Bridge. MP said the camps were organized for specially-abled persons belonging to Atam Nagar and Gill constituencies and equipments worth Rs 24 lakh were distributed among the people. The equipments include 101 tricycles, 54 wheel chairs, 21 walking sticks, 5 MR kits, 48 smart canes, 38 smart phones, 100 hearing aid machines, 600 speaking devices and others. MP said that the aim of these camps is to extend helping hand to the specially-abled persons in which these equipments are being given free of cost. He said that these camps are being held in each constituency of the district.
