SOI supports parent's body protest against private schools

Ludhiana, February 2, 2016: Fighting against the alleged harassment and manipulations done by private schools for long time, Student organisation of India (SOI) members joined the parent association who were on three day protest near Jagraon Bridge.

 

SOI president and Director Youth development board Meetpal Dugri announced agitation against private schools during the protest.

 

He further said that Till the time schools do not stop harassing students and parents by re admission, building fund ,development charge, annual charge and many more problems. they will continue their protest.

 

He further said that schools do not allow to speak Punjabi in school. The latter is disrespect to their mother tongue and the matter will be brought to the notice of government.

 

Problem regarding sale of books and high rate uniforms are also faced by parents. Uniforms are made available only at specific shops. This is a loot by private schools, said Dugri.

 

Meetpal Dugri said they in next few days they will meet Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal and solve the issues.

 

SOI leaders also invited the parents of schools to contact them on helpline number and SOI will redress the grievances with government support.
