Society needs to boycott self styled Godmen

With the arrest of one of the self styled and self proclaimed Godman Asaram Bapu in sexual assault case of a 16 year old girl in the ashram, has brought out the evil misdeeds of fake godman, hence it seems to be the tip of ice berg as today majority of Indians are being carried away by such sadhus bearing religion tags and large section of people blindly follow and believe in such self-styled godman. The rise of scamsters such as Asaram to position of a revered godman is a clear reflection of the dangers of blind faith. This shows how playing god has become a family business for such unscrupulous elements in our country.
It’s a matter of shame to witness this controversial self styled godmen Asaram committing one of the most heinous crime i.e. sexual assault case with serious offences of the Indian Penal Code such as Sections 376, 342, 506 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 8 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act and Sections 23 and 26 of the Juvenile Justice Act. etc. This matter needs to be dealt with utmost seriousness as earlier witnessed such  religious self styled saints ultimately go scot free because of their strong clout  amongst the politicians and powerful bureaucrats. Rather the police needs to keep strict vigilance over the activities of such self – proclaimed godmen.
Infact such characters need to be punished with most stringent sentence as this can slam breaks and will further put fear in the minds of such self styled Godmen who are playing with the religious and emotional feelings of the commons and often seen indulging in such heinous acts of modesty of women. It’s a matter of deep concern that even Asaram’s son Narayan Sai has allegedly committed rape of two sister girls and is yet to be arrested. Its high time our society needs to ignore and be more vigilant, proactive rather than laying down before such self styled godmen dressed in saffron and accepting them above God.  Hence today people our country should stop blindly following and believing in such self styled godmen and sadhus.
Atleast this fake spiritual guru Asaram since now being in judicial custody for allegedly committing rape and outrage of modesty committed on minor girl and having no respect for the dignity and honour of women should face most stringent punishment and needs to be kept behind bars and stripped of all powers so that in future such offenders should think twice before acting as self styled Godman.
