Most shameful incident in Shimla

It’s a matter of deep concern that the hill towns are in-fact becoming unsafe  for women as witnessed in the past, a 30 year old American women tourist was raped in Manali, a Russian girl has become another victim of rape at Arambol beach in Goa, a Swiss tourist was gang-raped while on a camping trip in a forest area in Madhya Pradesh, 21-year-old Irish women, working as a volunteer with a West Bengal NGO, was raped and today its again shocking to witness  two gang rape cases of a 15 and 16 year old school girls in Shimla, that too after the recent pronouncement of stringent judgement sentencing  death punishment for the four convicts found guilty of Delhi gang rape case. This is quite evident that the rapists still have no fear of capital punishment committing such serious crime of ‘Rape’. As they have indulge to commit this inhuman act by abducting a teenage girl and later raped her, hence it seems this stringent verdict of death penalty in rape cases has not been taken as a bold signal for the unscrupulous elements who have committed this such ruthless i.e. rape of a school girl in Shimla. Where are we heading for? Today again five men have shamed the nation, this is another grim reminder of how unsafe are women in our country. These eve-teasers, molesters and rapists need to be hanged and above all instant – stringent punishment is only the need of hour reminding the perpetrator of his crime consequences.
It is high time on top priority the Shimla police should arrest all the accused who has committed this heinous crime and they deserve stringent punishment. Moreover it’s time for the law making authorities to implement – amend law – at least the punishment for rapists should be death, no criminal should spared and we need to build a safe country for women. It’s matter of regret and deep concern with school going girls are unsafe in Shimla. The Himachal government needs to have a separate force constituted to provide necessary measures of protection for the girls – women institutions within the State.
