Six member of robbers’ gang arrested by Ferozepur police
Ferozepur, November 25, 2018: The Ferozpeur police have arrested six persons belonging to a robber’s gang and have recovered one rifle (.315 bore) along with six live cartridges and sharp-edged weapon from them. Besides the mini-truck loaded with paddy bags, which was robbed by the accused have also been recovered. Giving details, officials from the police said that on intervening night of November 21-22, the mini truck loaded with 493 paddy bags worth Rs.5,50,000 was robbed by 5-6 unidentified miscreants at Zira road following which a complaint was lodged under Sections 395 of the IPC, 25/27/54/59 of the Arms Act was registered at Kulgarhi police station (Case number 124 dated 24.11.2018). Six persons identified as Sandip Singh, Saajan alias Ghulla resident of Village Saddhu Shah Wala, Rahul alias Keti resident of Village Sher Khan, Gurpreet Singh lais Bacchi, Raja alias Sunny resident of Village Vallor, Sawan alias Gola resident of Basti Khajoor Wali were arrested by the police after the investigation. The police also recovered the Scorpio jeep which was used by the robbers, the mini truck loaded with paddy bags, a rifle (.315 bore) and six live cartridges besides several sharp-edged weapons from them. Baljit Singh Sidhu, SP (D) said that more revelations are expected during the upcoming days.
