REPAIR WORK OF 2537 KM LINK ROADS WILL BE COMPLETED BY JUNE: PWD MINISTER

Raikot: PWD Minister Mr.Vijay Inder Singla said that 2537 kilometer roads in district Ludhiana would be repaired with the cost of 248.17 crore rupees by June next year. Therefore, the 8 year old pending repair work of roads would be completed. Minister visited Raikot Assembly constituency on Monday to lay the foundation stones of repair work of two important roads. While talking to media, he said that the repair work of 1560 km out of 2537 km link roads have already been started. Rest work of 977 km will be started by January 2019. All repair work worth 248.17 crores would be completed by June 2019. He informed that Khanna to Sidhwan Bet road via Malerkotla-Raikot-Jagraon would be upgraded national highway. The Detail Project Report of this project has been prepared. The Minister inaugurated the repair work of Raikot to village Binjal road and village Halwara to village Shahpur. He also planted saplings in community center Bassian under Mission Tandarust Punjab. Senior Congress leader Dr. Amar Singh Boparai highlighted the needs of Raikot constituency and requested to get these fulfilled on priority. He also mentioned the long pending repair and construction work of various roads.
