Ludhiana, May 26, 2016: Former senior deputy mayor of Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana and senior BJP leader Jagdish Loomba died here today.
He had been senior deputy mayor from 1997 to 2002.
Loomba was a committed and dedicated soldier of the party. He had been actively participating in all the party activities.
The body of the deceased leader was cremated in a cremation ground near general bus stand.
Among others, Ravinder Arora, President, BJP, Ludhiana District (Urban) laid wreaths on the body of the deceased leader.
Among others who attended the cremation ceremony included Deputy chairman of Punjab State Planning Board Rajinder Bhandari, Congress MLA Rakesh Pandey, senior BJP leader Sat Pal Gosain, former CPS Harish Rai Dhanda, chairman of Punjab Child Welfare Board Sukesh Kalia, former BJP district presidents Parveen Bansal, Dr Subhash Verma and Rajiv Katna, former chairman of Ludhiana Improvement Trust Ashok Juneja, senior deputy mayor Sunita Aggarwal and deputy mayor RD Sharma.
