CHANDIGARH, OCTOBER 21, 2016: As a Diwali Bonanza to its employees and pensioners, Punjab Finance Minister Mr.Parminder Singh Dhindsa today gave his nod to release 6% dearness allowance (DA) with November 2016 salary/pension. He has signed the file and concerned section released notification.
Mr.Dhindsa said that with the release of this DA installment the state would touch 125 percent from present 119 percent of the basic pay/pension. With this, Finance Minister Mr. Dhindsa giving a big relief to foreign settled retired employees said that D.A. would continue with their pensions. He also divulged that the Punjab Government has decided to take back a letter stopping D.A. of pensioners of state government who acquired foreign citizenship.
