Seminar on Road Safety by The Young Minds

Ludhiana, January 30, 2017: The Young Minds, a group for human dialogue, organised a Seminar on Road Safety sponsored by Rotary Club Ludhiana Greater at Gurdwara Sant Sipahi, Vishal Nagar, Ludhiana. Dr.J.S.Dhiman, an eminent Scientist and scholar, presided over the event. S.Tanvir Singh Dhaliwal, the President of the Gurdwara, hosted the Seminar.
Twenty two young students and teachers participated in the Seminar giving a call to the society to be aware of the hazards of unsafe driving. Rash driving, bad roads and a lax attitude towards implementation of traffic rules, on the part of the commuters as well as the Traffic Police, are the main reasons of road accidents. The main thrust of the Seminar was that the speakers were aging between six years and thirty years.
The seminar turned into a human dialogue and a serious educating effort to create awareness among the growing young citizens. All the participants were felicitated with commendation Certificates by the Rotary Club with blessings from President Rotarian Parminder Singh, Geneeral Secretary Rotarian Dr. Param Siani and the Treasurer Amandeep Singh.
Dr. J. S. Dhiman eulogized the effort of The Young Minds under the guidance of M.S. Aulakh for organizing an educative fete among students for awareness about one of the most important and serious issue like Road safety. He exhorted upon the young participants to follow the traffic rules so as to help create a safe environment on the road which we use every day. The representatives of welfare associations and religious institutions of the locality namely Ashok Devidi, Pardeep Khanna, Dr. Darshan Singh, Gurbachan Singh and others attended the Seminar besides the literary personalities of the city like Dr. Gulzar Pandher and Dalvir Singh Ludhianvi.
Mr. M. S. Aulakh thanked the students, the Rotarians and the others present in the Seminar. He said that his effort is to create awareness about the burning issues related to society in general and particularly the young generation by organizing monthly Seminars in the form of human dialogue.
