Seminar on contribution of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji at PU

Chandigarh, November 14, 2019: Department of Urdu, Panjab University, Chandigarh organized a seminar on the contribution of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji towards reforming the Indian society in which Prof. Rehana Parveen, Department of Evening Studies, PU was the Chief Guest. Paying rich tributes to Baba Nanak, Dr. Madhukar Arya in his presidential address said his holy sermons defied language barriers as adequate place was given to Arabic, Persian and words of other spoken languages of that period . Prof . Rehana Parveen, Dr Zareen Fatima, Ms. Arvinder kaur, Ms. Bobby Cheema , Ms. Maniz Panesa, Mr. Ansh Sagar, Mr. Balwinder Pal and Mr. Ripudaman also spoke on the various aspects of Baba Nanak’s philosophy. Ragi .Jatha of Bhai Jagdev Singh recited shabads of Shr. Guru Nanak Dev ji. Mr. Ravitej Bara anchored the entire program in very nice manner. Dr. Ali Abbas, Coordinator of the Urdu Department while presenting vote of thanks explained the teaching of Baba Nanak in the light of QURAN PAK PARVAR
