Second Meeting of Governing Body held at KMV

Jalandhar, December 22, 2018: Taking lead in academia, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Jalandhar which has become the first women college in Punjab to be bestowed with the Autonomous status organized the governing body meeting to ensure excellence in education. Throwing light on this meeting Prof.Atima Sharma Dwivedi Principal KMV averred that this was the second governing body meeting and was attended by Sh.Chander Mohan, President Arya Shiksha Mandal and KMV Managing Committee, Prof.Dr.S.S.Chahal, Retd.V.C.,Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur, Shri Alok Sondhi, General Secretary, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee, Dr. Sushma Chopra, Secretary, KMV Managing Committee, Sh. Dhruv Mittal, Joint Treasurer, KMV Managing Committee, Sh. Suresh Seth, Member, KMV Managing Committee and Prof. Geeta Hundal, Department of Chemistry GNDU. In this meeting various decisions to enhance the research quality were taken. Allocation of Seed money for various research projects was a welcome step in this direction. Special emphasis was laid to check plagiarism in publication work. To encourage research it was also decided to enhance the amount for research awards to be given to the students who performed excellently. A part from this permission was granted to introduce new courses for employment. At par with tradition of KMV it was also decided to keep pace with time and upgrade the infrastructure for students. Prof. Dwivedi maintained that this meeting will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of education and research in KMV.
