Sankara Ludhiana gives sight to over 700 in a month

Ludhiana, October 3, 2016: Continuing its commitment to the residents of Punjab, Sankara Eye Hospital Ludhiana screened over 3000 patients from rural and urban locations. Out of which total of 770 surgeries were done in just one month. Apart from general cataract surgery speciality surgeries like Lasik Laser, Retina Surgery, Cornea Transplant, Occuloplasty and Paediatric Surgeries were performed. The less fortunate were treated free i.e 654 surgeries performed free and the rest 119 surgeries of business model helped subsidizing the service to poor. Special clinics for diabetic retinopathy, Lasik laser and Low Vision Aids were conducted. Dr. Asheesh Bajaj Glaucoma consultant, Dr.Tajinder Pal Retina Specialist, Dr. Manoj Gupta Cornea specialist led the team in achieving this amazing feat.
