Ferozepur Railway Division performs well during 61st Railway Celebration Week

Ferozepur, April 26, 2016: Ferozepur Railway Division has won eleven shields for efficient working during 61st Railway Celebrations Week which was celebrated from 16-22nd April, 2016. This information was given by Anuj Prakash, DRM, Ferozepur Railway Division.
The DRM said that on 16th April, 1953, the first ever train in India had completed its journey from Mumbai to Thane. “To commemorate this day, every year, railways celebrate this week in April”, said DRM Prakash.
He said that various departments get their award on the basis of marks percentage according to their performance. “This year the Ferozepur Railway division has won three shields Mechanical Department (Diesel Shed Shield, Loco Efficiency Shield, Best Coaching Depot), two shields in Electrical Department (Best Electric Loco Shield and Train Lighting and Air Conditioning Shield), One shield in Engineering Department, one in Security Department, one in Commerce Department, One in Transport Department, One in Account Department and a special shield was awarded for the Division which made most number of reformations.
