The virtual reality experience
The Red Bull Doodle Art Global Finals in San Francisco will take doodling on a futuristic journey, with the competition being a virtual reality experience for the first time. All national winners will come together at the Academy of Art University, where they will be coached on how to up their 3D artistic skills and create their final piece of art by painting in 3D.

The young artists’ final masterpieces will come to life in a global virtual gallery, which art lovers can step into, to experience art in an innovative and immersive way. Within this VR art world, viewers can teleport themselves into 47 different art galleries, one representing each talented student artist around the world, using a VR headset. You can not only see the artwork that the artist created but also experience it, going around or inside of it and even (virtually) touch it.

The 2017 Red Bull Doodle Art Global Winner will be chosen by a jury and will be announced on June 24, at the opening of the Global VR Gallery.
