SAD ALONE IS THE VOICE OF PUNJAB’PANTH’: SUKHBIR

DURING HIS MAIDEN VISIT TO THE BORDER VILLAGES, SUKHBIR STRIKES AN EMOTIONAL CHORD WITH THEM FEROZEPUR, April 28, 2019: Former Deputy Chief Minister and SAD candidate from Ferozepur Sukhbir Singh Badal said here today that the interests of Punjab, “Panth” and “Koum” are synonymous with the fortunes of the Shiromani Akali Dal. "And that is the only reason why there have always been conspiracies by the enemies of Panth and Punjab to weaken the party. Addressing a public meetings at kila Chowk, Gatti Rajoke, Lakha Bhedian and Ferozepur here this morning, Badal said ," The SAD is the only party whose leaders and workers have spent long years in jails and made countless sacrifices for the protection of the rights of Punjab. No one fights for Punjab like we do. That is why SAD is the only party that is called "Shaheedan te soormian di Jathebandi " (a party of martyrs and heroes) The SAD president said that the party has only one agenda ," peace in and prosperity of Punjab. That is why former CM Parkash Singh Badal has always laid the maximum stress on peace and communal harmony”. Describing himself as a " Sidha sada desi banda" Sukhbir said that he instinctively dislikes cheap dramebaazi: "I do not like stunts. I like to focus only on delivering what I promise. But I love the challenge of promising big and delivering big for the people. Lashing out at Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh , Badal said that the people of Punjab have never experienced such total neglect as they have suffered under Amarinder. "Punjab has no such thing as government today The bureaucracy rules the roost and even legislators and ministers are feeling totally neglected and humiliated as they cannot even meet their own CM. What can a common Punjabi expect from such a Chief Minister or from the government he heads?" Badal said that all the development milestones in Punjab belong to the periods under SAD BJP governments. Badal said all development activity and all welfare schemes for the people started by the SAD-BJP government had been stopped by the Amarinder government on the false pretext of empty coffers. In addition, all taxes as well user charges like electricity bills and bus fares in the state have registered a steep hike putting unbearable burden on the people. Despite the stoppage of development programs and welfare schemes and despite inflicting additional burden on the people , Amarinder and his ministers keep talking about empty coffers’ .it is not coffers but their motives, intentions and capability which are really missing, said the SAD president. FORMER DEPUTY CM STRIKES AN EMOTIONAL CHORD While striking an emotional chord with the border area residents, Sukhbir said that this is the first time he has come to these border Villages. “Wadde Badal Sab tan ithe ande hi rehnde si.
