Rishi Nagar z-block residents forced to drink filthy water: Ahbaab Singh Grewal

Ludhiana, August 29, 2016: AAM AADMI PARTY Ludhiana West Candidate Ahbaab Singh Grewal today visited Rishi Nagar Z- block on the request of residents and saw first hand the unhygienic and filthy water they are forced to use as the sewage gets mixed with water supply and this has been happening for the past two years according to the residents of the area Grewal said that he had gone to the Nukkad Sabha last evening to Rishi Nagar where residents raised the issue and he visited the area today to check the conditions. People are being forced to fetch drinking water from 3km away as the water supply coming to their homes is clearly mixed with sewage. Residents told the AAP Candidate Ahbaab Singh Grewal that they had being running from pillar to post for the past two years but their cries for help was never heard all this happened while the residents specially children suffered ill health due to this apathy of MC Ludhiana and their elected representatives. Apart from bad water supply the parks in the area have become garbage dumps and now are homes to poisonous snakes which is a threat to life. Mr. Grewal assured the residents of full support and said that he will raise the issue at every possible level and forum till it is solved. He said that if this problem is not solved in next 48 hours AAP will sit on protest outside MC office. It is clear that the elected representatives of the people are not interested in people’s well being but AAP will fight tooth and nail for the rights of the people.
