RIMT students observe National Safety Week

Chandigarh, March 8, 2015: RIMT World School observed National Safety Week to raise safety awareness and reduce accidents among children. It was observed to highlight the importance of Safety in all spheres of life so as to prevent mishaps and accidents resulting out of neglect or lack of awareness.

Kone Elevator India Pvt. Ltd. organised a workshop wherein the experts demonstrated safe ways to behave around elevators and escalators. Screening of ‘safety films’, was one activity which showed the correct and proper way of using elevators and escalators.

Poonam Katoch,Principal, RIMT World School stated, “At RIMT World School we conduct such workshops regularly so as to create awareness & increase students’ knowledge about safety issues in daily life.”

In the workshop, experts stressed that elevators were for convenience and not for joy rides of kids. It was underlined that precautions need to be taken, as otherwise a potentially fatal accident could happen.
