Chandigarh, March 21, 2013: To encourage the farmers to adopt crop diversification and initiate dairy farming along with fisheries, the Animal Husbandry Department in collaboration with National fisheries Board Amritsar would organise a state level Fish Farming Fair on March 23.
Disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the department said that Gulzar Singh Ranike, Minister for Animal Husbandry, Punjab would inaugurate the fair at Amritsar and Chief Parliamentary Secretary Animal Husbandry Department, Des Raj Dhugga would be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
The successful fish farmers would be honored during the state level fish farming fair, he said.
A large number of fish farmers from neighboring states are also expected to attend the fair and acquaint with the latest know-how in the field.
