Jalandhar News/Vajra Army Pre Primary School students hold rally on “save our planet”

Jalandhar, November 19, 2013. Tiny tots of Vajra Army Pre Primary School held an awareness rally on Save our planet earth today.

About 400 student of LKG and UKG wing participated in this show. Dressed smartly in their winter uniforms they were found chanting slogans like SAVE water,Say no to plastic,Plant more trees etc.

Col Avtar Singh Sekhon,  Col GS, Education Branch flagged off the rally. Addressing the staff and students he said that this is the right age where sensitivity towards environmental issue can be inculcated effortlessly in young minds. He appreciated the endeavour of the school and encouraged the students to go ahead with their rally with full fervour.

Seeing the enthusiastic children beaming with energy, Sukhpreet Thind, Principal Vajra Army Pre Primary School reiterated that this rally echoes the philosophy of Army Welfare Educational Society (AWES) that learning by doing surpasses all instrucational learning. Environmental Preservation is a serious issue in today’s times and to ensure that we save it for our children and future generations the lamp has to be handed over to them at nascent stages of development itself.

Vajra Army Pre Primary School has been celebrating Haryali Diwas since its inception wherein all the children plant one sapling each and take care of it as long as they stay here. This rally is an extension of the same effort where the children want to convey their massage on “SAVE our planet” to the general public as well. Parents and general public really appreciated the childrens’ effort.
