Ramgarhia Girls College organised Annual Convocation for pass outs of 2013-2014

Ludhiana, March 26, 2015: Ramgarhia Girls College, Ludhiana on Thursday organised its Annual Convocation wherein degrees were conferred on the students who passed out in the academic session 2013-2014.

Malkit Singh Dakha, Former MLA, presided over the event as Chief Guest.

Principal, Dr Narinder Sandhu,  Ranjodh Singh, President and Jagtar Singh, General Secretary, Ramgarhia Educational Council, accorded a warm welcome to the esteemed guest. The ceremony commenced with a prayer to the Almighty as the students of PG Department of Music Vocal rendered a shabad in their soulful voices. Thereafter, the Chief Guest conferred degrees on 416 graduate and post-graduate students and Roll of Honour was awarded to 16 students who had done exceptionally well in academics, cultural activities and sports. Navroop Kaur was honoured for standing 1st in P. U.   B. A. (General) and Punjabi Honours. Eight students of sports were awarded for making their mark at various inter-varsity and state level championships. The others who were felicitated were the team of Kali Singing and Harpreet Kaur in Pakhi Designing for securing first prize respectively at Punjab State Inter-varsity Heritage and Youth Festival 2015. He congratulated all the degree holders and propelled them to enrich their country and humanity with the knowledge that they have acquired during their stay in the college. Principal, Dr Narinder Sandhu read out the annual convocation report and while highlighting the attainments of the college, she said that the college has always endeavoured to impart value-based education laced with academic excellence. She further added that students should uphold the honour of their institution in all their future ventures.

Ranjdoh Singh said that the alumni are the reflection of an institution’s excellence and credibility. He motivated them to follow the path of righteousness and testify the stature of their alma mater.

Jagtar Singh congratulated the students on their precious attainment and thanked the chief guest for gracing the occasion.
