PUTIA gives a warm farewell to former Vice Chancellor, Dr. Rajneesh Arora

Chandigarh, February 14, 2015: Punjab Unaided Technical Institutions Association (PUTIA) members bid farewell to the outgoing Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Technical University (PTU) in a highly befitting ceremony organised at a local hotel. The ceremony was attended by many renowned personalities from various colleges and Universities of Punjab.

The ceremony was graced by Rakesh Verma, Secretary, Technical Education and Industrial Training; Mohan Bir Singh Sidhu, Additional Director, Tehnical Education; President, PUTIA, Dr. J.S Dhaliwal; Chancellors/Chairmen of many renowned universities/Colleges few of which are Sh. Satnam Singh Sandhu (CU), Dr. Madhu Chitkara (Chitkara), Dr. Zora Singh (DBU), Gurvinder Singh (Rayat-Bahra ); Chairman, Aryans Group of College, Dr. Anshu Kataria; Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal (CGC, Landran).

Dr Rajneesh Arora during his speech thanked every member of the association for his/her support and reiterated that whatever he could manage to achieve was because of their dedication and commitment. He further said that he had done whatever best was possible by him for the welfare of the students, parents, colleges, society and University.

President, PUTIA, Dr. J.S Dhaliwal said that Dr. Rajneesh Arora in his tenure of 6 years had untiringly served the Colleges, Management, students. The initiatives taken in his regime like Integration of Human Values & Professional Ethics into Technical Education, Industry Oriented Curriculum, Faculty Development Programmes, Various academic & research collaboration with universities/institutes are really commendable.

Vice President, PUTIA, Dr Anshu Kataria said, “The world may have lots of smart, accomplished, learned, successful persons, etc. What is unique about the retiring Vice Chancellor better referred as "Wise Chancellor". He further said that he has elevated the position of PTU in the Globe.”

Concluding the event a memento ceremony was held in which PUTIA members presented a token of love and remembrance to the former Vice Chancellor.
