Punjabi University Employee Reinstated After 20 Years At Intervention Of Punjab State SC Commission

Chandigarh, December 9, 2015: Punjabi University, Patiala has reinstated an employee after a gap of 20 years at the intervention of Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission.
            Disclosing this here today, the Chairman of the Commission Mr. Rajesh Bagha said that Malkit Singh S/o Ujaggar Singh, VPO Kheri, Tehsil & District Sangrur had approached the Commission in August, 2015 with regard to the case pertaining to his dismissal. Acting upon the submission of the aggrieved employee, the Commission had instructed university administration to present its case.
            Mr. Bagha further said that a committee was constituted by the Punjabi university, Patiala which recommended the reinstatement of Malkit Singh Senior clerk in November, 2015. The vice-chancellor accepted the recommendations. Mr. Bagha said that Malkit Singh, who belongs to the SC category, was dismissed from the job on March 21, 1995 and now after the intervention of the Commission, the orders concerning the reinstatement of the said employee after 20 years on November 27, 2015 have been received by the Commission.
            The Chairman said that the Punjab SC Commission is duty bound to protect the justified interests of the people belonging to SC category as per the law.
