Chandigarh, May 23, 2017: The Punjab unit of Bharatiya Janata Party is planning a massive 15-day outreach programme starting 26 May to mark the BJP led central government’s three years in office.

To ensure celebrations in all the districts of Punjab, State President BJP Punjab Vijay Sampla has formed a three member committee headed by Former Legislative Group Leader & Ex State President Manoranjan Kalia, comprising of Former State President & ex MLA Ashwani Sharma and State Vice President Anil Sarin.

Detailing about the plans State Secretary BJP Punjab Vineet Joshi said that BJP will use the opportunity to reiterate Modi government's policy successes and its vision for the next two years. The idea is to hold district level functions in all the districts so that people are aware of the good governance work of the national government, added Joshi.

State BJP is also planning to hold ‘Modi mela’ (Modi fair) in Punjab. Joshi said that people who have benefitted because of government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana which gives subsidized cooking gas to financially weaker sections, Stand-Up India scheme which gives loans to financially weaker sections, especially Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and women entrepreneurs, and Jan Dhan Yojana would be invited for these events.

Union ministers, MPs, chief ministers and senior office-bearers of the party will participate in the celebrations, which will witness "sabka saath, sabka vikas" festivals in which people will be made aware of the government's welfare schemes and told how to avail the benefits, concluded Joshi.
