PUNJAB STATE DC Office Employees Union to observe 2-day pen-down strike on March 4-5

Ferozepur, February 28, 2013: The Punjab State District DC Office Employees Union was held at Jalandhar under the chairmanship of Sukhraj Singh, president to chalk out the progrmme for pen-down strike on 4-5 March and on mass casual leave on 6 March to participate in the Moga Convention. 

Giving this information, Vijay Behal, District President, Ferozepur Unit said, the employees will proceed pen-down strike for two days on 4-5 March and on mass leave on 6 March to participate in the convention at Moga to register their protest for ignoring the genuine demands of the employees by the Financial Department of Punjab Government.

He further said, the demands include, to upgrade the one post of Assistant in the office of SDMs to Superintendent Grade 2, to convert the post of steno-typist to that of Junior Scale Stenographer as per provision of norm of 1989, to create a post of senior assistant in the old 16 districts as per the norm of 1995, to approve the appointment of ministerial staff of revenue department, in the newly crated districts of Sri Muktsar Sahib, Moga and SAS Nagar (Nawan  Shahr),  providing of staff in the legal cells.
