Punjab Simplifies Registration Process Of Upvaids: Joshi

Chandigarh, October 23, 2015: With a view to remove the hurdles being faced by the candidates for the registration of UpVaid course, the procedure for its registration has been simplified.

Disclosing this, Mr Anil Joshi Medical Education and Research Minister Punjab said that now onwards the registration of those candidates who have passed the eligibility test would be made on priority. He said that on the same basis candidates qualified from recognised institutions of other states would also be registered as UpVaid.

In a press communiqué, Mr. Joshi said that it has been brought to his notice by various organisations that the candidates who have cleared the eligibility course from Punjab or other states were facing much difficulty in registration for the UpVaid.

He said that considering their just demands sympathetically, the department has now decided to simplify the process. He said that as per the new instruction any candidate who have passed the UpVaid course from the instates affiliated to Faculty of Aurveda Punjab or Punjab State Board of Technical Education, there registration would be done by Board of Ayurvedic and Unani System of Medicine. Likewise, candidates who passed eligibility course from registered Autonomous Institutions and who have appeared in the examination taken by Faculty of Ayurveda Punjab or Punjab State Board of Technical Education, would also be registered as UpVaid.
