Punjab News/Joshi discusses advanced civic technologies with Israel officials

Chandigarh, November 13, 2013: Anil Joshi Local Bodies Minister, Punjab accompanied by high level delegation today visited the Tahal Group and Hagihon Companies to take stock of the various schemes and programmes being implemented by these companies to provide basic services to the urban population. This delegation is on an official visit to Israel and Spain on their personal invitation to the Minister.
Divulging the details of the visit to these companies Joshi said that water supply system and sewerage system have been managed by these companies with utmost excellence. He said that the Punjab Government would try to emulate this system in Punjab to provide basic civic amenities to the urban population.
The delegation of the Local Government Department, Punjab headed by Anil Joshi,Cabinet Minister arrived at Tel Aviv. The delegation was briefed by the executives of Tahal Group, a part of Kardan Group of Holland. The discussions lasted the entire forenoon followed by a site visit to the landfill facility in north Israel. The second destination of this delegation was HQ of Hagihon Company Ltd, Israel's largest & most advanced Water & Waste water Utility where the team discussed the advanced technologies being utilised by MC Jerusalem And also their service centre with its accurate and prompt service to the general public.
The Minister was accompanied by Major Generel V.K.Bhatt, Technical Advisor to Chief Minister, G.M. Balamurgan, CEO of PMIDC and S.K.Garg, Chief Engineer.
