Ferozepur, July 1, 2013: The protest and hunger strike by Punjab Rural Health Veterinary Pharmacists, Para Medical and Class IV Employees Union enters 28th and 19th day, respectively.
Addressing the protestors, by various representatives of unions said, the unemployment cannot be managed by the government but at least the employees who are in service must be given taken care of. The government is giving a step-motherly treatment to the pharmacists and they should also be regularised on the patron of doctors so that unnecessary harassment to the villagers, for health services, is ended.
The protestors were addressed by Inderpal Singh, Harjinder Singh Sindhi, Sarbjeet Kaur, who later on, warned the Punjab Government that in case their genuine demands are not taken care of properly, they will not hesitate to intensify their agitation.
