Punjab initiates 2nd phase to augment 66 KV transmission network in state
Chandigarh, November 23, 2014: The Punjab Government has initiated work on the augmentation of 66 KV network in the state. In this second phase of the important power lines of 66 KV load transmitting power to major cities and villages including industrial units would be further extended. The motive behind this exercise is to ensure the quality and uninterrupted power supply to all types of existing and perspective electricity consumers of the state.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Punjab government said that the work would be executed by the Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd, PSPCL in stipulated time period. Divulging the detail of the schemes/transmission works to be executed he said that 3.442 KM of line on Route plan of 66 Arniwala - 66 KV Kand wala Hazar Khan line, T-off for for Azure Power Plant,Tahli wala Jattan SC on DC and 2nd ckt from Arniwala up to T-off point , 1.005 KM line on Route plan of 66 KV T-off line for 66 KV S/S Kanoi from existing 66 KV Sangrur-Patran Rail Pole line, 9.824 KM line on Route plan of 66 KV DC line from 220 KV S/S Pakhowal to 66 KV S/S Sudhar,4.395 KM of line on Route plan of 66 KV line from 220 KV S/S Badshahpur to 66 KV S/S CharaMandi, Jalandhar SC on DC, 1.767 line on Route plan of 66 KV T-off line from Mandvi-Ghamoor Ghat for 66 KV S/S Makroor Sahib -SC on DC, 13.400 KM of line on Route plan of 66 KV SC on DC line from 66 KV S/S Panchta to 66 KV S/S Kot Fatuhi, 7.731 Route plan of 66 KV SC on DC line from 66 KV S/S Ajjowal to 66 KV S/S Sadhu Ashram, 1.990 KM of line on Route plan of 66 KV T-off from Kakrala-Dayal garh line for 66 KV S/S Munshiwala./Sihaal. SC on DC, 4.621 KM of line on Route plan of T-off 66 KV Nathana – Kalyan Sukha line for 66 KV S/S Ganga (SC on DC), 8.455 KM of line on Route plan of 66 KV Junir-Aalike line T-off for 66 KV 8.455 KM 0.2 sq inch 210 Danewal SC on DC, 6.736 KM of line on Route plan of 66 KV line form M/s ECEL 20 MW 6.736 ckt KM 0.2 sq inch 165 SPV Plant Lakhmirwala to 66 KV S/S Kot Dharmu line SC on DC, 5.357 ckt KM and 4.046 ckt KM of line on Route plan of 66 KV DC line to 66 KV S/S Alamgir 5.357 ckt 0.2 sq inch 250 and 66 KV SC on DC line to M/s T.C.Spinner Ltd. KM 0.2 sq inch 100 form 220 KV S/S Lalru works would be undertaken by PSPCL for the improvement of the transmission distribution system.
The spokesman further said that it has been notified by the state government that the PSPCL is undertaking and executing the sanctioned scheme and would have the powers for placing of any Wires, Poles, Stays, Apparatus and Appliances for the Transmission and Distribution of Electricity or for Transmission of telegraphic or telephonic communications necessary for proper coordination of the works of PSPCL for the areas indicated above.
He said that the PSPCL has given notice that any person may raise objection if any/and or make any representation against the above scheme/transmission works within two month of issue of this notification. Thereafter no objection and or representation will be entertained and all schemes/transmission works would be deemed to be sanctioned with or without modifications as approved by the PSPCL. He said necessary plans showing the tentative route of the Transmission Lines may be seen on any working day in the office of Dy. CE/TL, PSPCL, Jalandhar. Objections and/or representations in respect of the above schemes if any should be sent to the Office of Chief Engineer /Transmission System, B-1, Shakti Vihar, Patiala.
