Punjab Govt To Organise Training Programme On Social Conflicts Analysis & Resolution Approaches

Chandigarh, November 13, 2015: Indian Institute of Administration in association with the Punjab Government is organising a training programme on “ Social Conflicts Analysis and Resolution Approaches ” for senior and middle level civil servants of Central and State Government aimed at improving the day to day functioning and in the offices.
          Disclosing this here today an official spokesman of the government said that all state government departments have been directed to send the duly filled nomination forms by January 8, 2016. The five day long training programme would start on February 1, 2016 at Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi.
        Adding further the spokesman said that it has been often observed that civil servants while taking policy decisions and further course of implementing these decisions are confronted with situations where for various reasons the decisional actions suffer a conflict. He said that inaction may also have similar or worse effect and may impede the process of social justice. He said that this multi-dimensional analysis of conflict situations and resolution strategies would create bridges and facilitate appropriate decision making and implementation efforts.
       He further said that this workshop would enable the participants to evolve a comprehensive understanding of social conflicts and approaches to conflict resolution with social justice. He said that experience sharing and analysis of actual conflict situations and resolution strategies by the participants would be encouraged. He said that those with some exposure to conflict situations or experience of having resolved it successfully would also present brief cases studies, raising points for further discussion by the group.
