Chandigarh, November 23, 2015: With initiatives being taken by the state government to generate employment opportunities for the youth of Punjab, the government has gone a step further to help engage and initiate the youth into joining the armed forces.
While disclosing this a spokesman of the Punjab Government said that to help aspiring students to achieve their dreams, Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (AFPI) has been invited application for training from the selected young boys from Punjab for permanent commission in the Armed Forces through the National Defence Academy. Admission process for this course is to commence from 1st December and Registration would be closed by December 28,2015 and entrance test will be held on 10 Jan 2016.
He said that the candidates should be a domicile of Punjab, studying in class 10 and not born before 02 Jul 1999 to be eligible for the entrance examination. Students are inducted on merit based on the entrance tests in English & Mathematics and the medical fitness examination conducted as per NDA requirements.
