Punjab extends last date of date of transfers to August 31

Chandigarh, August 29, 2014: The Punjab government today extended date of transfers in various departments to August 31, 2014 for the year 2014-15.
According to an official spokesman, communication in this regard has been issued in pursuance of decision of cabinet recently wherein it was decided that if any department needed urgent transfers the same could be done till August 31. All the transfers will be conducted as per the guidelines issued on June 17, 2014.
The state government spokesperson stated that all the Heads of the Departments, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Sub Divisional Officers (Civil), Chairmen and Managing Directors of the Boards and Corporations have been instructions in this regard.
