Chandigarh, April 9, 2014: The Punjab Government today notified public holiday for workers on April 10 to enable the workmen who are voters of U.T. Chandigarh working in factories, shops and commercial establishments in the state of Punjab where Sunday is not observed as a weekly off.
According to the spokesman, this shall be the weekly paid holiday for all the workers where Thursday is not a closed day within the state in lieu of their normal weekly holiday.
