Punjab Breaking News: World Kabbadi Cup 2014 set to fascinate rural Punjab

Chandigarh, December 5, 2014: 5th World Kabbadi Cup-2014 is set to fascinate Kabbadi lovers of rural Punjab with most of the legue matches and thrilling final  are being organised in the rural heartland of Punjab. Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and President, Punjab Kabaddi Association Sikandar Singh Maluka have  transformed  Kabbadi as most popular game of world catching maximum eyeballs.

According to Rural Development And Panchayat Minister Sikandar Singh Maluka   Fifth World Cup Kabbadi to be held in Punjab from December 6 to 20 December and first time  inauguration ceremony organised at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium  as following closing ceremony and final match would be held at Badal village. Semi-Final match will set in Dirba village of sangrur and one match in Dudhike historical village of Moga and Mehta village of Majha.All these villages become the  part of World kabbadi cup 2014 where matches would be held .As history has told itself  kabbadi linked with rural punjab and Punjab Kabaddi Association  seek to promote this long lasting rural background game  among the Punjabi youth that why Government will have  organised these matches in villages  .

Further he said few years ago circle styled  Kabbadi was not famous as now, high profile arrangements of stadium, live telecast, high prize money has attracted and influenced  the audience worldwide . Likewise cricket match between Pakistan v/s India, Kabbadi match of neighbouring country became mainstream of Kabbadi Cup.
