Punjab Appoints IAS Officers To Supervise Wheat Procurement At District Level

Chandigarh, April 24, 2015: The Punjab Government today appointed IAS officers at district level to supervise the arrangements concerning availability , procurement, storage, lifting and payment of wheat for RMS 2015-16.

Stating this, an official spokesperson said that Vijoy Kumar Singh, Chief Electoral Officer Punjab-cum-secretary, Elections has been designated as Nodal Officer for Jalandhar and Kapurthala, R. Venkat Ratnam, Secretary, Co-ordination and additional charge of Commissioner, Jalandhar Division, Jalandhar, for Amritsar and Tarn Taran, Sucha Ram Ladhar, Director-cum-Secretary, Industries and Commerce for Gurdaspur and Pathankot, Sameer Kumar, Secretary, Revenue and additional charge  Secretary, Forests and Wildlife for Hoshiarpur and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Arvinder Singh, Secretary, Punjab State Information Commission for Rupnagar and S.A.S. Nagar, Raj Kamal Chaudhary, Director-cum-Secretary, Information Technology and additional charge as M.D. , Punjab Infotech for Ludhiana and Moga.

The spokesperson further said that Ajoy Kumar Sinha, Chief Administrator, GMADA (S.A.S. Nagar) has been designated as Nodal Officer for  Faridkot and Ferozepur, Ajit Singh Pannu, Commissioner, Patiala Division, Patiala for  Patiala and Fatehgarh Sahib, Sukhjit Singh Bains, Managing Director, Punjab Financial Corporation and additional charge as Managing Director, Punjab Alkalies and Chemicals Limited for Sri Muktsar Sahib and Fazilka, V.K. Meena, Commissioner, Ferozepur Division, Ferozepur and additional charge as Commissioner, Faridkot Division, Faridkot for  Bathinda and Mansa while Arunjit Singh Miglani, Registrar, Co-operative Societies, for  Sangrur and Barnala.

The spokesperson also informed that these officers would visit the districts allotted to them to supervise the every aspect of procurement process and report
