PUCSC Elections to be held on 6th September
Chandigarh, September 5, 2018:
Prof. Emanual Nahar, Dean Student Welfare,
Panjab University informed that all
arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of Panjab
University Campus Student
Council (PUCSC) Elections scheduled for 6th September 2018.
162 polling booths have
been set up in the PU Campus.
He informed that the entry of the students into various
departments will start at 9:00
a.m. followed by attendance by 9:30 a.m. The entry of
students will be allowed only
till 10:00 a.m. as the voting starts from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
Prof. Nahar, informed that
about 15300 students will be casting their vote. 123 numbers
of Department
Representatives (DR) are to be elected.
The counting of votes for the Office Bearers will be held at
Gymnasium Hall and the
counting of votes for D.R.’s will be held at the respective
departments. He informed
that one day attendance has been given as an incentive for
student’s participation.
Adequate security arrangements at the PU Campus and Gymnasium
Hall have been made for
smooth conduct of the Students’ Election. All the students
have been advised to carry
their Identity Card and entry will be allowed from all gates
except PU Dental College
Gate Sector-25. Teachers from various departments, Hostel
Wardens, Sports Department,
Former Wardens and non-teaching staff have been put on duty,
informed Prof. Nahar.
