Protest March On PAU Campus By PAU Retirees Welfare Association

Ludhiana, April 9, 2016: In a specially convened emergency meeting of Executive Council of PAU Retirees Welfare Association held under the Presidentship of Sh.Jila Ram Banal on Saturday in the pension office, it was decided to take a peaceful Protest March from Students' Home to Thapar Hall for the non-payment of LTAs from July 2015 and January 2016. This decision was followed by the directives of the General Body Meeting held in March 2016. It is added that the LTA which was to be paid in July 2015 and January 2016 have not been paid so far. In this regard the Association had written letters to the PAU Authorities, but no reply received. It is significant that the PAU Authorities are daring to face the contempt of the Hon'ble High Court, Punjab who had already directed that all the dues pertaining to the pensioners be paid without any delay.
In a joint statement Jila Ram Bansal President, Sh. D.P. Maur Chairman and Satish Sood General Secretary requested all the pensioners of the PAU to come in a large number on 11th April, 2016 Monday, so that the resentment and unrest prevailing in the PAU Pensioners due to non-payment of two LTAs is demonstrated in a befitting manner.
