Protest against supporting firing incident on Sep 10

Ferozepur, October 8, 2012: The Ferozepur City Truck Union with the support of Gram Panchayats and Sarpanches blocked the road traffic and should slogans against the police.

Addressing the protesters, Charandeep Singh, sarpanch and Saraj Singh have alleged that certain supporting the attackers by firing outside the office of SDM, Ferozpur on September 10, 2012 and trying to hush-up the incident during the course of inquiries.

Charandeep Singh informed that in this incident, he was allegedly hit with the bullet and Iqbal Singh Mallah, president was also injured and against this daring incident of attempt to murder, the police are not initiating any action against the assailants.  He further said, till such time the attackers are not attested, the protest will continue and it will be intensified. 

Due to this protest, the people suffered a lot as the buses plying on the routes to Jalandhar, Ludhiana , Chandigarh Bhatinda and Muktsar were detained.  However, the jam was lifted to intensify the protest on some other day.

However, as per the sources from police officials, the police proceedings are already going on in this case, as per the law but any person found taking the law in hands, will not be spared.
