NOMINATIONS WOULD BE FILED BETWEEN MAY 25 TO 30
Ludhiana , May 23, 2017: State Election Commission has announced the Panchayat by poll on June 11. ADC (D) cum Additional District Election Officer Mrs. Surbhi Malik said that the notification has been issued in this regard . Candidates would be able to file the nominations for 16 Sarpanchs and 41 panchas from May 25 to 30, 2017. On May 27 which would be the Saturday , the candidates would be able to file the nominations . He also said the scrutiny of the nomination papers would be made on May 31 and the candidates may withdraw his/her nomination on June 1.
ADC has also said that in those villages where election would be conducted, model code of conduct would came in to effect from May 25 to June 13,2017. The voting time would be 8 AM to 4 PM and the counting of votes would begin immediately after the conclusion of voting.
