Police force should stay fit to tackle challenges

Ludhiana, October 19, 2019: In the memory of martyrs of police force, a mini marathon was organised by Police Commissionerate Ludhiana, in the city today. This mini marathon was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Mr Pradeep Kumar Agrawal. Commissioner of Police Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal and other senior officials of civil and police administration of the district were also present on the occasion, along with a large number of city residents.
This mini marathon started at 6:30 am from Guru Nanak Stadium, and passed through Fountain Chowk, Ghumar Mandi, Dr Hira Singh Road, Samosa Chowk, Fountain Chowk, Old Sessions Chowk, Dandi Swami Road, before culminating at the gate number 2 of Police Lines Ludhiana.
While addressing the officers and other officials of Police Commissionerate Ludhiana, Mr Rakesh Kumar Agrawal said that the police force and all security forces face several challenges in the present scenario, and to tackle these challenges, they should stay fit. He said that under the Mission Tandrust Punjab of the state government, they are stressing that the police force should stay fit, both physically as well as mentally.
He stated that today’s mini marathon was organised in the memory of martyrs of police force, who laid down their lives in the service of our country. He also thanked all the participants for taking part in this mini marathon. The participants who bagged first three positions were also honoured by the Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Police.
